Contact Water Leak Hub

Last updated: August 17, 2026

We welcome reader questions, correction reports, and coverage suggestions. If a manufacturer has changed a specification, a certification has lapsed, or a product deserves a place in one of our six comparison categories, this is the right place to tell us.

1. Contact Form

    2. Email

    For general inquiries: editorial@waterleakhub.com

    3. What We Respond To

    • Correction requests — outdated specifications, a certification that has lapsed or changed, a subscription requirement that has changed, or an insurance-discount claim that no longer matches the insurer’s current program page. Include the page URL, the specific claim, and a source if you have one.
    • Coverage suggestions — products or comparison topics within our scope: standalone leak detectors, automatic shutoff valves, detector + shutoff combo systems, freeze sensors, cellular/no-WiFi monitors, and Zigbee/Z-Wave hub-dependent sensors.
    • Methodology questions — questions about how we source data, weight criteria, or handle conflicting specifications. Check our Comparison Methodology page first; if your question isn’t answered there, write to us.
    • Partnership inquiries — editorially appropriate conversations about coverage or data access; we respond but do not guarantee any specific outcome.

    4. How Corrections Are Handled

When you report a specification issue, include the page URL and, where possible, a link to the manufacturer’s current documentation or the certification database entry. Our editorial process cross-checks the claim against primary sources before any page is updated.

We aim to acknowledge substantive correction requests within two business days. Verifying a certification or a manufacturer specification change can take longer, but we follow up once the check is complete, whether or not it results in a change.

When a correction changes the substance of a comparison — a certification that no longer applies, a subscription requirement that was added, a connectivity claim that was wrong — we update the page’s “Last updated” date and align any related pages that referenced the same specification.

    5. What We Cannot Help With

Water Leak Hub is an independent research and comparison publication. We cannot provide:

    • Personalized plumbing or installation advice for your specific home
    • Manufacturer warranty processing or claim escalation
    • Insurance-policy advice, or confirmation of your personal discount eligibility
    • Refund support or retailer customer-service escalation
    • Emergency response for an active leak or flood — contact a licensed plumber or your insurance carrier directly

For product-support issues, contact the manufacturer directly. For insurance-discount eligibility, contact your carrier — see our About page for why we do not make that determination ourselves. For affiliate transparency questions, see our Disclosure page. For inquiry data handling, review our Privacy Policy.

    6. Submission Tips

Specific submissions get a faster response. If you are reporting a specification issue, include:

    • The exact page URL where the issue appears
    • The product name and model number
    • A clear description of what is outdated or incorrect
    • A link to the manufacturer page, manual, or certification listing that supports your report

General reports without a page URL or a source are harder to act on quickly. A complete submission reduces back-and-forth and improves the chance that a genuine issue gets corrected on the next pass.

    7. How We Prioritize Incoming Requests

We receive more messages than we can act on the same day, so requests are triaged. Reports that identify a safety-relevant error — a miscited certification, an incorrect pipe-size compatibility claim, or an insurance-discount statement that no longer matches an insurer’s current program page — are prioritized ahead of general feedback, because those are the errors most likely to affect a reader’s actual purchase decision.

Coverage suggestions are triaged in batches rather than individually, since adding a new product to a comparison requires the same documentation-gathering process described in our Comparison Methodology. A suggestion with a model number and a link to manufacturer documentation moves through that process faster than a general request to “add more options.”

    8. Editorial Independence in Coverage Decisions

Coverage suggestions from manufacturers, PR representatives, and affiliate partners are welcome, but they go through the same intake process as reader suggestions. Sending us a product does not guarantee coverage, and coverage is never exchanged for payment, free product, or preferential placement. If a suggestion comes from a party with a commercial interest in the outcome, we note that internally, but it does not change how the product is evaluated once it enters our research queue.

    FAQ

Can you tell me which product to buy for my house?

We do not provide one-on-one purchase consulting. Our comparison pages are organized by category and by decision axis — connectivity, pipe size, install complexity, power source — so you can match a product to your situation using published specifications.

How fast will I get a reply?

We aim to acknowledge substantive messages within two business days. Requests that require verifying a manufacturer specification or a certification listing may take longer.

Can I suggest a product for a future comparison?

Yes. If a product fits within one of our six categories and has enough publicly available documentation to compare fairly, we consider it. Include the model name and why you think it belongs.

How is my message data handled?

Contact-form and email data handling is explained in our Privacy Policy.

Do you offer emergency leak or plumbing support?

No. If you have an active leak or flood, contact a licensed plumber, your water utility, or your insurance carrier directly. This site is a research resource, not an emergency service.

Do manufacturers or PR contacts get faster responses?

No. Every coverage suggestion, regardless of who sends it, goes through the same documentation-based intake process described in our Comparison Methodology. Commercial relationships do not change that process.

What happens after I submit a correction?

We verify the claim against the source you provided and, where needed, against the manufacturer’s own current documentation or a certification database. If the correction is confirmed, we update the page, refresh its “Last updated” date, and follow up with you.
